It would be super nice is there were a way to run macros with keyboard shortcuts instead of hunting down a virtual button in the middle of a stream.Īgain, I can't say for sure what the issue is at the moment, but if you're considering making this change, consider me a -1 vote. Stability is everything to me so the StreamDeck is not a positive in my book. I'm still trying to chase down the source of the issues (it may not be related to StreamDeck/Companion) but I can confirm that Companion often has a hard time connecting to my ATEM and, even when it does, it frequently just stops working in the in the middle of a stream. The screen blacked out on me yesterday at the end of a paid live stream, I've had occasions where I could not get audio to work until I had restarted the whole system three times, the StreamDeck works when it wants to work and I have had audio issues. Double click the installer file from the supplied media or from your downloads folder if you downloaded the software from the Blackmagic Design website. So if using ATEM firmware 3.4, you would require JustMacros33Plus.exe, if on 4.1.2, you will require JustMacros41Plus.exe. ‘Just Macros’ has a very small CPU footprint, and sits quietly as an icon on the Windows. This can be done on the same computer, but you will need to have multiple displays to see both vMix and the ATEM switcher control software. Identify the JustMacros EXE file that most appropriately matches your ATEM Firmware version. To control vMix and the Blackmagic ATEM switcher using either the API or Midi, you could try ‘Just Macros’. Since this switch, my whole system has become majorly unstable. The following three applications are contained within the folder: Videohub Control, Videohub Setup and Videohub Hardware Panel Setup. The easiest way to discover this is to use the Blackmagic Design ATEM software, and go to the Help About window. For anyone following this thread, I got a StreamDeck and am using Companion to run macros.
